Just sharing a few shots from a wet, wild and windy day recently on the west coast at Seamill Hydro.

The weather we had to deal with on the day was rather unforgiving. It was like a winters day, with strong winds, heavy, blustery rain, and really just a day to stay inside, under a warm blanket, with a large mug of hot soup.

Even the local seagulls had decided to bed down for the day and stay in their nests.

However, it clearly took more than a wee bit of horizontal sheet rain, 50mph winds, and a dark, menacing sky to put Caroline off.

I watched, nervously,  as she pulled on her tartan wellies, and strutted off, with determination, into the storm Surprised smile

It was certainly not going to be a “perfect hair day”, that much was obvious!

A great day for atmospheric images? Well, let’s see …

Susan and Stuart recently got married at Boturich castle, which sits on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond – yes, cue the music Winking smile

As all of you will know by now, photographers have their own way of seeing things. We all have our own style, and approach to every shot. So, I was particularly flattered when Susan called me to ask if I would cover her big day. Smile

Why? well, she is actually a professional wedding photographer herself. Which adds a strange type of pressure, on top of the normal pressure that comes with the job.

Knowing that each, and every image was going to be scrutinised, not in the normal, expected way, but through the eyes of “another me” made the heart beat that little bit quicker! Broken heart

The location was nothing short of breath taking, and with the added pressure of a rain storm brewing at the end of the Loch, well, the stage was set for some drama Storm cloud

We had to duck and dive showers most of the day, but thankfully, the rain stopped for just long enough for us to grab what we were both hoping for Winking smile

Here are just a few shots from the day …
