Review of 2011

January 3, 2012

Well it’s actually quite hard to believe 2011 is over. It’s been a crazy, hectic, fun filled year to say the least, which involved me doing things, going places, and getting into positions that I never thought was even possible Winking smile I’ve met some fantastic people, and captured some great memories for them along the way. So, I thought it would be nice for me to share with you just some of those moments from 2011. But before I do, I’d like to say that from day one of starting James Solly Photography, I’ve relied on you, the viewer, to take the time to look at my work, and pass on your recommendations to friends and colleagues. Never having to “advertise” is one reason that I can still offer such fantastic value for money to you, the client, and this is still the case today, so my heart felt thanks go out to you all for this. Keep up the good work!

2011 was as always, an educational year, which saw me invent even more new tricks, angles, and compositions. I covered more weddings than ever before, and in the process worked with clients in the U.S. Canada, Asia and Europe to name but a few Smile

So, a HUGE thank you to all of the fantastic couples who let me share the most important day of their lives with them as without you, none of this would be happening.

Finally, I would like to wish all my clients, past, present, and future, all the very best that 2012 has to offer … Happy New Year Smile

Jill and Stewart got married at Borthwick Castle in Midlothian. The setting was stunning, both inside and out, but the weather, Oh the weather. Still, it’s got to rain sometimes right?, otherwise we’d all live in a desert Smile  nope …  it’s not working, I still hate the rain! At least it stopped long enough to grab a few outside shots without getting soaked – which was the main thing.

The locals had been out in the rain – decorating the village – now that’s commitment! James Solly Photography - Jill and Stewart-1
